Cadmium has a new company-wide Incident Response policy and plan. This training will review three key aspects of incidents: 

  • What is an incident?
  • Internal and external incident communications
  • Managing an Incident (Technical)

The second section will be of most interest to operations and customer service as it will describe communication channels as an incident unfolds. The last section goes into details of how to manage an incident and will be of most interest to those in programming and infrastructure management.

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I was always a numbers person and so received my B.S. in Applied Mathematics at UC Irvine.  About this time the PC was hitting it big and I fell in love with programming.  I moved to Maryland and received my Masters in Computer Science at UMBC, including a paper on neural nets.  I had a great time in the 90s working on one of the first video on demand projects and writing two of the first books on Java.  I started EventRebels event management software in 2000. It is truly a fulfillment of a dream to bring EventRebels into the Cadmium fold.

I am a voracious reader.  I love college textbooks and start almost every day with one on biology, neuroscience, AI, and so forth.  I love fine dining and classic movies with my wife, Jayne.  I am also an avid walker and hiker, often covering over 60 miles a week.  My reading and work time is usually accompanied by one or more cats and jazz.
